Dr. Shauna Dixon
I am a clinical and pediatric neuropsychologist who specializes in providing comprehensive evaluations to children, adolescents, and young adults with learning and neurodevelopmental differences. Families come to me for a variety of reasons, such as:
My child has trouble focusing and staying organized; does she have ADHD?
It seems like my child has lost his confidence and motivation at school; what is going on?
How can I help my child who is struggling with reading and writing?
The goal of my evaluations is to provide insight and understanding about how a child thinks and learns, so we can create individualized supports to optimize their learning and development.
My experience spans over fifteen years as an educator and psychologist. During my training as a school psychologist, I worked as a teacher’s assistant in a public school as well as a school for children with autism and developmental disabilities. As a psychologist, I have worked and trained in schools, hospitals, and private practice. I also enjoy teaching, supervising, and staying current with research and best-practices as an adjunct professor.
